In the summer of 2020, the West Michigan Mall was demolished to make way for a $500 million shopping center.
The mall was demolished with little fanfare.
In fact, the demolition was completely public.
When news of the demolition broke, the community’s reaction was to express its anger, and to demand that the mall be reopened.
It took nearly a year to get the mall reopened, and it still wasn’t reopened until late October of this year.
The West Michigan mall’s closing has been a catalyst for the growth of other malls in Michigan and elsewhere.
In June of 2021, the Michigan Department of Transportation announced it was partnering with the city of Detroit and the Greater Downtown Development Authority to reopen the Gateway Mall.
The Gateway Mall, the state’s largest, opened in 2018, and the Gateway project is the largest redevelopment project of the Great Lakes region.
The Gateway Mall opened in the summer and the community has continued to embrace the shopping experience there, and people are eager to experience the city’s revitalized downtown.
But now the Gateway mall is being torn down.
The City of Detroit says the closure is not due to safety concerns, and no plans have been made to reopen it.
It is unclear what the city plans to do with the mall, or if the mall will be built on land owned by the city.
A similar story is playing out in the Detroit-based shopping mall company, Detroit Downtown.
A year ago, Detroit-owned Riverfront Place opened in Detroit’s downtown.
The company has not been able to sell the property because it is not yet profitable.
That’s not the only area of Detroit with a lack of downtown retail, but Detroit Downtown is a big success story.
The area is home to some of the best shopping and dining experiences in the state, with a strong economy, strong arts and culture scene, and a large number of restaurants, bars, and retail businesses.
The redevelopment of Riverfront is also helping revitalize the neighborhood, according to an interview with The Detroit News by Richard J. Puckett, a former president of RiverFront.
The riverfront area is considered one of the most historic neighborhoods in the city, and for good reason.
In 2017, the Detroit News reported that the area’s population has dropped by about 30 percent since 2000.
That means the neighborhood is being gentrified.
Many neighborhoods have seen a loss of property values and residents are moving out.
It’s a process that is changing the character of the area.
In June of 2020 and 2021, many people came to the West Detroit Mall to enjoy the fresh air and shopping experience.
They are disappointed to learn the mall is closing.
The Mall will reopen in October 2019, according the West Mall’s official website.
